BOTANIST / PLANT BIOLOGIST

 

Seeking qualified candidates to build and manage the new and exciting botanical garden & garden pavilion expansion to Lost Spirits.

 

Lost Spirits Distillery is one of the most cutting edge distilleries and offers what has become the world’s top ranked distillery tour experience.   We are seeking to create a new botanical garden of edible exotic plants that can be harvested and used to produce esoteric brandies & liquors. 

 

The leading candidate will have:

 

- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in botany or plant biology from a top tier university 

- A strong desire to get their hands dirty

- A love of distilled spirits

- A willingness to interact with the public explain the exotic gardens to them

 

You will be responsible for identifying which plants will grow in the available conditions and determining with 100% confidence that they are safe to eat. 

 

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn to distill some of the world’s best spirits, help build some of the themed spaces, and teach the public about your choices of plants and their special properties and characteristics.   

 

Lost Spirits offers an intense start-up lifestyle, where you will be working with a small team of electrical engineers, materials scientists, chemists, inventors, artists, and computer scientists.
